UK Schools to Remove Analog Clocks From the Classroom

Late last month, the UK announced it would be removing analog clocks from public school classrooms. This signifies a major concession to the looming threat of digital distraction, and the lack of effort put forth by schools and parents alike to teach children the fundamentals of life.

The US media erupted into a mix of concern, mockery, and a renewed effort to educate children about the importance of time awareness and literacy. Learning how to tell time can also help kids with their motor and cognitive skills as well as mathematical skills.

Experts say children should learn to tell time on an analog clock around the age of five or six.
